Lara was born and raised on Long Island. She is one of two sisters, both now living in Fort Lauderdale. As a junior in high school, Lara determined that she wanted to be an accountant.

She studied Accounting at SUNY Binghamton, which is renowned as having one of the best accounting programs in the State. Lara’s path to becoming a Certified Public Accountant will be gaining her enrolled agent certification, completing the requisite graduate college credits and then sitting for the CPA exam.

Lara has worked at two NY CPA firms, focusing on Governmental Accounting and Corporate Tax work. At that point, she realized that her passion was helping individual entrepreneurs with their financial and tax planning, so she sought out such a firm when she and her husband made their recent move to Florida.

Our company immediately realized that Lara was a great fit, as she excels with both the technical side and the “people” side of Gruber and Associates, which to us, are equally important.

Lara and Matt were recently married, and they enjoyed their honeymoon on a cruise around Italy. They look forward to purchasing a home in the area and starting a family.
One of Lara’s hobbies is solving puzzles, and she has been known to complete a jigsaw puzzle in one day. She and her husband seek out and visit an escape room whenever they arrive in a New City.

Fun Fact: On a recent Alaska trip, Lara was able to put one foot in British Columbia Canada and one in the USA!
