As the Director of Accounting at Gruber and Associates, Heidi is instrumental in working with our monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate clients, as well as supervising and mentoring the accounting staff members. Since joining the firm in 2010, Heidi has helped to develop and perfect our payroll processing system while simultaneously providing top of the line service to our clients. With extensive experience working in private industry, Heidi is privy to a unique perspective of public accounting that is highly valued by the firm and our clients.

Heidi’s focus on corporate accounting comes from a background of over 20 years of accounting experience in private industry. After receiving her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from the University of Tampa and Nova Southeastern University, respectively, Heidi began her career as a staff accountant for Burger King at their world headquarters in Florida. She later accepted an opportunity with the Gaddis Family Corporations and became involved in many aspects of the business by working as a staff accountant and eventually as controller. After a corporate sale, Heidi was with Coach, USA, working in their regional office as the lead Accountant/Assistant Controller, supervising staff accountants and clerical staff in various operational areas.

Born in Germany and raised in Ohio, Heidi met her husband Chris during college in Tampa and moved to South Florida shortly thereafter. While Heidi has a strong work ethic and strives to excel in all professional areas, the most essential component of her life is her family, especially being a parent to her son Jake. Jake is currently in his freshman year at FAU. Heidi enjoys running, reading, and spending time at the beach with her family.

Fun fact: Before it became a prohibited activity, Heidi climbed to the peak (and climbed back) of Chichen Itza and has a picture to prove it!
